The Holodomor was a devastating man-made famine-genocide perpetrated against the Ukrainian people during 1932-33 by the now-collapsed USSR.
While as many as ten million Ukrainian people lost their lives due to forced starvation by the Soviet regime, many people in the West do not know about it.
A large part of why is because the word Holodomor only appears in one major English dictionary; Collins, as pictured to the left.
The Holodomor National Awareness Tour - along with Ukrainian organizations & people worldwide - are calling for major English dictionaries to add Holodomor to their lexicons. As a Ukrainian-Canadian, I'm proud to support this incredible initiative.
